About the Teams
Carmel High School has two dance teams: Charisma and Coquettes. Both teams are composed of around 20 members, with numbers depending on the tryout scores.
Charisma performs at the boys' and girls' soccer games, some football games, and the homecoming pep session. Coquettes perform at boys' and girls' basketball games and the spring pep session.
The teams do not travel due to the fact that they are considered not a sport but a school activity. Therefore, they are not funded by the athletic boosters, making the cost of travel expensive.
The music that the dance teams use for their routines include a diverse mixture of songs from many different genres. The music is picked by the team members themselves. The dance routines are also coreographed by the members.
