Matt Dillon is a Carmel graduate, who later graduated from Ball State University, where in 1993 he received his B.S. in History with an Internship. Then, in 1995, he got his teaching degree. Matt has taught here since 1998 and currently teaches regular US History and AP European History. He is also the Academic Super Bowl coach and a venture crew advisor. Matt serves the Carmel community as assistant scout master for the Boy Scout troupe. In his free time he likes to scuba dive (and he's taken CHS students on 5 trips.), hike, and watch the Simpsons. Michelle Foutz teaches Economics. She graduated from IU in 1993 with a B.S. in Business. After beginning her career as a financial advisor in Chicago, Michelle returned to IU to pursue her teaching certification. She is currently completeing her M.S. in Economics, Enterpreneurship, and Education through the University of Delaware. Peter O'Hara joined CHS during fall 2000 and is an Ohio State University graduate. His Masters degree though comes from the University of Dayton. He teaches regular Psychology and US History . He also serves as the head coach of the 8th grade football and baseball teams at Clay Junior High. Peter has also served in the army for 23 years as Lieutenant Colonel. Don Schlegel has been in the Carmel Clay system for years. Don is a graduate of Ball State University and completed his graduate work at IUPUI. Don teaches regular World History. Joe
Stuelpe got his BA in Communication from Hanover College where he ran track for 4
years. He earned his teaching certification at Ball State University and
participated in the Ball State/Carmel Clay Intern program before being
hired by Carmel High School. He currently teaches regular and AP Government.
He is also the Varsity Assistant Volleyball Coach, the Head Freshman
Girls Basketball Coach, and the Assistant Academic Super Bowl Coach. Outside
of school he has been involved with Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership since
1986 and in 2003 he served as "Big Daddy" for the World Leadership Congress
with over 300 students from all 50 states and 20 countries. He is also
a member of the Indianapolis Jaycees.
